The students were all challenged to create a package that could be sent through the mail that would keep one single pringle intact. We will send these packages to Mr. Pitlyk’s 5th grade class in Webster. We will also be receiving packages from his class. When all packages have made it through the mail to their destination, we will skype with each other to unwrap and discover if indeed the pringles have made it through the mail successfully and could be eaten.
We used Glenridge's new Makerspace during this challenge. This space provided us the perfect place to brainstorm ideas, design, and test a device that will protect a pringles chip on its journey through the mail system. We will soon find out if their designs were successful as well as learn from the designs of the other 5th grade class.

Dot Day 2015!
Today we read, The Dot, by Peter Reynolds. Through this story, Peter Reynolds is trying to teach us
that you don't have to be amazing at drawing to make art.You can make anything art if you want it to be. Even buildings are art, someone had to design and draw it.
I will make my mark this week by being kind and helpful and trying my best in everything so that
everyone will know me for behind kind, not mean. I will also try to make art that is no realistic, try to use different style.
My Family has made a mark on my world by always being there to help me and being creative and colorful.
This is what I'll be doing but what about you? How will you make your mark?
