We then watched the following video to help us understand growth vs. fixed mindset.
This video showed us two very clear examples of how having a growth mindset allowed to change to happen and success to occur. We watched as a group of young Thai boys worked together to become their island's first soccer team despite the negative feedback they received from the adults in their life.
The second video we watched demonstrated how easy it is but how powerful it can be to put another person's needs before your own.
Feel free to watch and discuss these videos and ideas with your student at home!
I like the short film it is informative
ReplyDeleteI liked watching the soccer film because it's so cool how they persevered and believed in themselves and built a playing area after school and practiced and practiced and practiced and they turned out to be champions of Southern Thailand. Especially when that old guy was laughing at them and making fun of them and saying discouraging things. When he said that they didn't have space to play, they built a space to play. When he said that they wouldn't become champions on that thing, they worked hard and later they did become champions on that thing.
