The students were all challenged to create a package that could be sent through the mail that would keep one single pringle intact. We will send these packages to Mr. Pitlyk’s 5th grade class in Webster. We will also be receiving packages from his class. When all packages have made it through the mail to their destination, we will skype with each other to unwrap and discover if indeed the pringles have made it through the mail successfully and could be eaten.
We used Glenridge's new Makerspace during this challenge. This space provided us the perfect place to brainstorm ideas, design, and test a device that will protect a pringles chip on its journey through the mail system. We will soon find out if their designs were successful as well as learn from the designs of the other 5th grade class.
This was a really fun activity and I hope our pringles arrives safely
